What not to do with an online dating profile

So e-harmony didn't live up to my expectations. Whatevs online dating, whatevs. While my online dating experience may have only been 30 days long, I feel like I saw enough profiles to give some pointers to those out there looking for more than online booty call. While this list is more geared towards men, ladies I am sure you can gain some valuable insight as well.

1. Bathroom pics are always and I mean ALWAYS a no. The only thing that will get you is a closed match.
2. I understand that there is the option to "send a smile." But when a girl receives the notification that herr profile made him smile...leaning towards creeper status, but hey, maybe that's just Milly and I.
3. I get the use of OMG, LOL, and such. I have been known to use such abbreviations in text messages  or on facebook myself, but please refrain from using any such three letters in your initial profile (thus your first impression). Trust me, it will create the same response as number 1.
4. Posing with no shirt is just as bad as the bathroom shot.

5. Proofread. I don't think further explanation is necessary.

6. A picture of a vehicle should not be included in your profile either (especially one in a showroom). Unless you are a Transformer, then awesome, please include a photo.

As a special bonus, here are some phrases I would suggest avoiding:

"The most important thing I am looking for in a person is: Like a best friend"
"I'm a lazy workaholic." I don't even know what to say to that.

Internet, tell me there are other men out there for my friends to date. Please!

#2 You say happy birthday to the awkward guy at work and then he immediately proceeds to ask you out. All I said was Happy Birthday buddy.

The Awkward Moment When...

According to good ol Merriam-Webster, awkward is defined as a : lacking social grace and assurance and wow are there plenty of those in the dating world. We thought it would be funny to share these along the way. We promise these have actually happened (if not to us, then to people we know). Just when you think you have seen or heard it all!

#1 You are on a blind date and the guy talks about the time he gave his teeth away as a Christmas gift. He also mentions it was one of his favorite gifts to give.
